After studying communication at the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, he began his career directing music videos and short films. Over the years, he has explored a variety of genres, directing dramas (Veins, Dusk for a Hitman, Out of Mind: The Stories of H.P. Lovecraft<\/em>), documentaries (Louise Lecavalier \u2013 In Motion, A Chair Fit For An Angel, Le Mozart Noir, Ghost Town, L\u2019oiseau de nuit<\/em>), and performing arts films (Les trous du ciel, Cabaret Neiges Noires, Peepshow<\/em>). His films have been broadcast in Canada and Europe and showcased at numerous festivals.<\/p>\n

Veins<\/em>, his most recent feature film, was selected in six international film festivals (Cin\u00e9mania, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Festival du film fantastique de G\u00e9rardmer, Fantasy Filmfest Nights \u00a0Lincoln Center’s Scary Movies XIV, Lisbon International horror film festival).<\/p>\n

His previous feature film, Dusk for a Hitman<\/em>, premiered in Quebec on March 10, 2023, to favourable reviews and an excellent reception from audiences.<\/p>\n

His feature-length documentary A Chair Fit For An Angel<\/em> was screened at over ten international festivals. The film won the Best Canadian Film Award and the ICI ARTV Award for Best French Canadian Production at the 32nd International Festival of Films on Art. The film also received the Best Feature-Length Documentary Award at the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival in 2014 and the Grand Prize Golden Eagle at IFFEST Document.Art 2014 in Bucharest.<\/p>\n

Louise Lecavalier \u2013 In Motion<\/em>, his most recent documentary, delves into the life and work of the acclaimed Canadian dancer and choreographer Louise Lecavalier.<\/p>\n

For Cirque du Soleil, Raymond designed the video projections for Zaia<\/em> in 2008. From 2009 to 2011, he again collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, designing and producing the multimedia content for Zarkana<\/em>, which toured in New York, Madrid, Moscow, and Las Vegas. In 2012, he co-designed The World of Michel Tremblay<\/em>, a multimedia installation honouring the renowned Canadian playwright. In 2013, he co-designed the multimedia content for Michael Jackson ONE<\/em> at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
